Original review of my experience when trying to submit my url to amrays web site directory

- What I encountered while using their websites, and my attempt to warn others about wasting their time with amray.

Threatening and abusive emails from an 'anonymous' party

- This latest update to the amray epic should have been the final installment, but alas...

When amray attacks

- Well, it looks like there is more, amray is making good on their threats by emailing me virus infected files, hoping I'm stupid enough to open one (they're really not bright over there at amray, are they?)

See how Amray continues to slough responsibility for their actions and misdirects users of their service

- If you're comfortable doing business with a company that operates so, well, good luck!

The views, observations, experiences and opinions expressed here are soley my own and not those of my webhost, clients or any affiliates. This journal is my factual and provable account, I have retained all emails from amray with complete headers intact. - Jeffery Wright

But wait, theres more !

Isnt that outrageous? Why, I ought to notify someone about this, like their hosting company's abuse reporting system:

Parsing input: www.amray.ca

host www.amray.ca (checking ip) = 24.77.24.244
host 24.77.24.244 = ns.amray.ca (cached)
Routing details for 24.77.24.244
[refresh/show] Cached whois for 24.77.24.244 : internet.abuse@sjrb.ca
Using abuse net on internet.abuse@sjrb.ca
abuse net sjrb.ca = internet.abuse@sjrb.ca
Using best contacts internet.abuse@sjrb.ca

Reporting addresses:
internet.abuse@sjrb.ca

Well, then! All I have to do is forward that email, with full headers to internet.abuse@sjrb.ca, right?

Think again!

Which is exactly what I did, yet somehow they manage to pass the buck and avoid any responsibility to take action against their abusive, yet paying, customer...

Talk about hiding behind procedure! Look at these additional instructions just to report spam to them!

They got a full unmodified header from me, but what they're really saying is "Go away! We dont want to be bothered!"

My conclusion remains unchanged, avoid anything to do with amray, you'll be glad you did!

Any company that actively engages in virus attacks is one you might want to steer clear of, let my account here serve as warning to everyone.
